Visit to Romania

Between 6 and 10 October 2014, 22 teachers and students from England, France, Bulgaria, Italy, Poland and Turkey took part in a week of activities and interesting experiences in the Romanian countryside. We visited the wooden churches, took part in workshops ( art and crafts), saw Hunedoaara castle, Deva citadel and also we discussed the project so far and what we will do further in the second year of our project.

Agenda of the meeting:

Monday 6th October- arrival day.

Tuesday 7th October:

9-9.30 Receiving the foreign guests in school.

9.30-10.15- Visit to the town hall, the church and the park. Getting to know the surroundings.

10.15-10.45- Coffee break and snacks. Departure for the school camp. Visit of the Crivina de Sus school. Visit of the old wooden churches in Crivina de Sus and Poieni. Visit of the afterschool in Poieni.

12.00-14.00- Activity 1./ Comenius meeting for the coordinators.( school camp).

14-15- Lunch break- at the school camp.

15-17.30- Activity 2: Games from our countries.

17.30- Return to the hotel. Free afternoon.

Wednesday 8th October:

9-10.30 – Arrival in school. Activity 3 in school with the students/ Second Comenius Meeting for the coordinators.

10.30-11.00- coffee break, refreshements.

11-12.30 Visiting the 2 monasteries in the area: Izvorul lui Miron monastery( monks) and Luncani covent ( nuns).

13-15- Lunch break in the hotel.

15-18 The Comenius serbare. Afterparty.

19- Dinner ( offered by the parents and the community).

In the community center.

20-22- Party for the students in the community center.

Thursday 9th October:

9-16 Day Trip to Hunedoara and Deva ( a famous castle where even Dracula lived for a while and an ancient citadel up on a high sleeping volcano cone).

Lunch on the way in a restaurant.

16.00- Return at the hotel. Free time.

19.00- Official Dinner for teachers/ Party, dinner and camp fire for students/teachers ( Valea Lui Liman).
