E European Visions at Wilhelm-Kaisen-Schule

Shortly before the European elections Wilhelm-Kaisen-Oberschule hosted students and teachers from the EUNITING VOICES partners in Bulgaria, England, France, Italy, Poland, Romania, Spain and Turkey from 19th to 23rd May 2014.

The week’s programme included workshops where students creatively shared their visions of a future Europe and typical sports games of their countries, an official reception at the town hall in Bremen as well as a guided tour of the beautiful Hanseatic city on foot and by boat. A highlight was the visit of the natural sciences museum “Universum” where everybody was able to do some research on their own or just contemplate the flow of time while watching pictures made by perpetually moving sand.

All the members of this Comenius-project are especially proud of their art exhibition at the “Europapunkt” where self-portraits painted by students in the style of nine European artists were displayed to the public for the week of the visit. Chosen paintings will be shown in the windows even for a longer time before the art collection will be sent to the next country.

 

D Europäische Visionen an der WKS

Passend zu den Europawahlen hatte die Wilhelm-Kaisen-Oberschule vom 19.-23.5.2014 im Rahmen des Comenius-Projektes „EUniting  Voices“ Schüler und Lehrer aus Bulgarien, Großbritannien, Frankreich, Italien, Polen, Rumänien, Spanien und der Türkei zu Gast.

Das Programm umfasste Workshops, in denen die Schüler u.a. ihre Visionen für Europa kreativ einander mitteilen konnten, typische Sportspiele der Teilnehmerländer, einen Empfang im Bremer Rathaus sowie die Erkundung der schönen Hansestadt an der Weser zu Fuß und mit dem Schiff. Ein Glanzlicht war der Besuch des Universums, wo alle Besucher selbstständig forschen oder einfach nur über den Lauf der Zeit sinnieren konnten beim Anblick sich ständig neu formierender Sandbilder.

Besonders stolz sind alle Comenius-Teilnehmer darauf, dass eine Woche lang Schüler-Selbstporträts im Stile neun europäischer Künstler im Europapunkt der Öffentlichkeit präsentiert wurden. Ausgewählte Bilder werden in den Schaufenstern für längere Zeit ausgestellt, bevor die gesamte Kunstsammlung weiter geschickt wird an das nächste Land.
