France Visit... from 31st March to 4th April

 

31st March:

  • Reception at Rouen station by teachers and families

 

1st April:

  • Opening ceremony at Sainte Marie

All the school, primary school, kindergarten and secondary school were gathered for a festival of songs and dances.

 

  • Work session for coordinators and icebreaking / team building workshop for students

 

  • In the afternoon: visit and workshops

In the afternoon, adults went their way to a guided visit of Rouen.

The students had a shorter visit and went to the Musée des Antiquités to have workshops (Jewels, mosaics and stained glass window)

  • Gospel concert by the group Kimia in St Pierre's Church.

 

2nd April:

In the morning:

  • Work session on the model village with all the EUniting Voices group.

A really interesting exchange between students and adults on how they would see their model village at the end of the project.

  • Norman dances and old games with the Norman group "Fil en quatre".

An exciting, wonderful moment that mixed students and adults of the EUniting Voices group.

  • The afternoon was free to enjoy some time between foreign partners and host families.

 

3rd April:

  • In the morning, while the coordinators were working on the project, the students were having a cooking session.

2 Norman desserts: Norman tarts and Flax seed biscuits

 

  • At 10, we went to the Art Room to see the exhibition of the 3 workshops, students did on Tuesday (jewels, glass stained windows and mosaics). Then, we finished by the painting exhibition of an artist from Rouen: Jean Luc Goupil.

  • At 11 o'clock, we all encountered the Mayor, Mr Gambier of Déville-les-Rouen for an official meeting.

 

  • In the afternoon, the adults went for a guided tour: on the footsteps of the Impressionists, and visited the musée des Beaux Arts in Rouen.

     

The students had a game workshop in which they tried to play the 9 games of the 9 partner countries!

 

  • At 6.30 pm, everyone saw a short play by the drama option of our school ‘Theater in English’ (Dutch-French creation) NO ROOM FOR TRAGEDY - Greek Tragic Fragments.

 

  • At 7.30pm, we all gathered at school for the farewell dinner prepared by the parents.

Projemizin 4. ziyaretini Fransa'ya gerçekleştirdik. Oldukça eğlenceli ve projenin amacına uygun etkinliklerin yeraldığı harika bir 4 günün sonunda güzel  anılarla ülkemize döndük.

 

Our visit to France was full of interest and a meeting of people who are becomming real friends. We had lots of fun and great memories were made at the end of a wonderful 4 day event which held true to the underlying purpose of the project
